Archive Entry #82: May 6, 1999

Posted on April 17, 2015.

It’s not a great state to be in, but I love to talk about “chaos.”

Your life has it. My life has it. The evening news and current events news sources report it. Chaos is part of who we are and the lives we lead.

So I’m glad that I was clued into the reality of chaos at least as early as May 1999, as today’s entry will demonstrate.

Interestingly, I wrote this article just six and a half months before the most outrageous chaos ever in my life erupted in November of that same year.... It saddens me to report that I don’t remember resting comfortably having labeled those events “chaos;” I guess I still had something to learn.

COMING NEXT: More chaos as from May 1995 comes the column I wrote after the bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City. Find it HERE.
