Archive Entry #81: April 20, 2006

Posted on April 14, 2015.

The fact that this archive intends to depict the diversity of approaches I have used through the years in my newsletter columns is in clear relief in today’s entry: It says I read a novel!

I don’t read fiction – it doesn’t work for me – but Dan Brown’s book “The daVinci Code” did work for me, as did the controversy the book generated.

Currently I contribute regularly to theological forum, most of whose participants have a theology very different from mine. The point I make to my fellow followers of Jesus is that differences in opinion need not separate us from each other or from our own opinions. My reaction to the Brown novel demonstrates the second of those two dicta pretty well.
