Archive Entry #68: September 2, 1993
Today’s entry reports one of the most profound spiritual insights of my life: that people aware of their own needs for forgiveness are likely to be much more generous with their offers of forgiveness to others. I am today FAR more tolerant of others’ mistakes than I used to be, in part because my life has seen more than its share of experiences akin to the one highlighted in this column from 1993. Perhaps you present similar testimony.
And one other note about this entry. Seven-and-a-half months into an archive that is nearly two-thirds completed, the first of two calendar years of my FCCEM ministry before today not represented finally debuts. The other year, 2014, makes its first appearance in about six weeks. Please contain your enthusiasm.
COMING NEXT: From March 1992, the column I wrote after my return from a six week trip to India during which I learned that our church’s beloved secretary (and my beloved office partner) had died suddenly and unexpectedly. Find it HERE.
