Archive Entry #61: February 5, 1998

Posted on February 3, 2015.

My objections to the death penalty have already made an archive appearance, so today’s entry is not an introduction as much as it is a reminder and expansion of the debate.

You may remember the case of convicted murderer Carla Faye Tucker referenced in this column. Even if you don’t, you’ll recognize the notion of grace to which the column turns for its conclusion.

Quietly and without rebellious overtones, this is one of most confrontational columns I’ve written due to its challenging convictions about grace. If needed, may you be confronted.
