Archive Entry #57: July 19, 2012

For the last 15 years or so I have struggled with how embrace and incorporate an evangelical spirit in my ministry. In the modern world it’s hard to be a progressive/liberal evangelical, at least in the popular vernacular, so I’ve sought ways to express zeal for evangelism – telling people about Jesus – without expressing loyalty to the conservative theology that so often accompanies such zeal among modern Christians. The following column is a product of that ongoing search.
