Archive Entry #37: November 15, 1989
Posted on November 11, 2014.
One of the joys of creating this column is that in the process of doing so I get to revisit some of the memorable moments of the decades of my FCCEM ministry. For this entry, the memorable moment is the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
From this entry do not expect the keen insights and observations of a journalist; but I think you can expect it to invite you back to a time of both global excitement – when the Wall fell – and personal spiritual excitement – when you first experienced your freedom in Christ.
COMING NEXT:The archive’s first entry from 1986, and perhaps my earliest poke at our congregation’s rib cage about a challenge every church still faces: the active involvement of a few who, because of the lack of involvement of many, do most of the congregation’s ministry. Find it HERE.
