Archive Entry #36: February 2, 2001

Posted on November 7, 2014.

Election day has passed. Some of our candidates won; some lost. Now it’s time for the elected to prepare to govern...but not without some harsh words for each other!!

We’ve already heard the sniping between the president and the congressional leaders-to-be. It’s not going to be pretty.

Today’s archive entry is about politics after the inauguration of the second President Bush and the “politics” of church life. As I have been able to write so frequently in these intros to-date, some things never change!

COMING NEXT: From November 1989, some thoughts on the fall of the Berlin Wall and our freedom in Christ. [And also next week: The first archive entry from 1986, and the final one from 2008.]  Find it HERE.
