On the day of this column’s arrival in the archive it is November 4, midterm election day – the same election date as is referenced in the column. Will wonders ever cease?
As do most of my columns on things political, this one from six years ago, written in advance of a general rather than midterm election, wears well. There’s not a thing about today’s entry I would change.
