Archive Entry #14: August 17, 2006

I’ve been a Looney Tunes cartoon fan all my life. It’s the irreverent characters, the wild slapstick, the memorable voices of Mel Blanc, and a sense that the Looneys know we’re watching their antics and are in on their gags, yet they refuse to change their ways.

But more it’s that I cheer for the characters who lose but don’t surrender, who fall but always get back up, whose best laid plans result in failure, but for whom there is always another cartoon.
